Dress Code

Caps:

Caps must be worn correctly (i.e peak at the front)

The wearing of hats is not permitted in the clubhouse.

 

Shirts:

T Shirts, vests and shirts with large logos are not allowed.  For men, shirts may have long or short sleeves and must also have a collar, except turtle necks and those with a tailored crew neck specifically designed for golf.  Shirts must be tucked into trousers or shorts.  For ladies, shirts may be either sleeveless or collarless (not both) and may be worn outside the waistband.

 

Trousers:

Denim, jeans, tracksuits, cargo pants, shell suits and military style attire are not allowed.  Trousers must not be tucked into socks unless worn under waterproof trousers.

 

Shorts:

Men are required to wear socks/stockings at all times.  When worn with shorts, long socks may be any colour, short socks must be predominantly white and at least ankle length.  Ladies may only wear sockettes.

 

Shoes:

Trainers, plimsoles, sandals or flip flops are not permitted either on the course or in the clubhouse.

 

Mobile Phones:

Mobiles may be carried, but should be switched off on the course and in the clubhouse.

 

In the Clubhouse:

Smart casual dress is the norm.  Acceptable shorts may be worn in the golf lounge and on the balcony at any time.  A collar and tie is required after 7pm when dining in the Hartwell Room, unless previously agreed by the Management Committee.  At all other times, smart casual attire is appropriate.

For formal occasions including Dinner, Match meals and Social events, members and guests are expected to change out of golfing clothes-unless a notice is posted to the contrary.

 

The Dress Code does not apply to children under the age of 11, provided they are smartly dressed.  (denim is not permitted).
