CORHAMPTON GOLF CLUB


Dress Code


To maintain the standard of dress at Corhampton Golf Club the Management Committee have laid down the following rules. To save emabarrassment to members, visitors and the staff of the Golf Club, please ensure that these rules are adhered to whilst visiting the Golf Club.


1. GENTLEMEN
Sleeved shirts (long or short) with collars shall be worn at all times.
Mock tops, with 2" collar and manufactured for golf wear, are acceptable.
Shirts/tops must be tucked into trousers/shorts.
When wearing shorts, long stockings may be of any colour but short socks must be predominately white.
Shorts must be tailored, designed for golf and should be cut no more than two inches above the knee.
Gentlemen are to wear socks/stockings at all times.
Collar and tie must be worn in the Dining Room after 7pm.

2. LADIES
Conventional golf wear. Shirts may be either sleeveless with a collar or collarless with sleeves. No tee shirts or vest type tops.
Tailored shorts. No jogging shorts.
Golf shoes with sports socks (or sockettes). No trainers.
Smart casual dress in the Clubhouse.

3. ALL
Headgear must be appropriate to golf but headgear of any kind is not permitted in the Clubhouse.
Denim jeans, combat or cargo type trousers are not permitted.
Track suits/leisure suits are not permitted
Denim wear is not permitted.
Training shoes/plimsolls are not permitted.
Trousers tucked into socks are not permitted, unless waterproof trousers are also worn on top.
Beach type, soccer, rugby or athletic shorts are not permitted.
Tailored shorts may be worn in the Golf Lounge and on the balcony at any time but may not be worn in the Dining Room after 7pm - unless a notice is posted to the contrary.
Mobile phones may be carried BUT MUST BE SWITCHED OFF. They may only be used in an emergency.
Juniors and children aged over 11 MUST follow all of the above rules.
The dress rules do not apply to children under 11 years of age, provinded they are smartly dressed. (Denim is not permitted.)
For all formal occasions including dinner, match meals and social events members are expected to change out of golf wear - unless a notice is posted to the contrary.
